Week Seven: Portrait- Faceless

February 12, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

This week's assignment is another portrait. It can be a self-portrait if you so choose, or it can be of someone else. The point of this exercise is to create a portrait using an alternative method other than showing the face. This image can include the face, however it should not be comprised primarily of the face. Use creative composition, depth of field, and lighting to tell the story of your subject. For example, if your subject works with their hands, think about a portrait of their hands while performing their craft. Or if your subject happens to be of the four-legged furry persuasion...frame up a shot of them playing with their favorite toy. Let your creative juices flow!
