Make space on your calendar on May 6th and 7th for the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania's 2017 Spring Colors Studio Tour.
This will be my first year participating in this tour. There are multiple locations, free to the public, to come see works and demonstrations from many local artists. Clearly I'll have a much better idea of how it all goes down after this one. But, from what I understand you start out at the Art Alliance Center Preview Show in Lemont. There you'll see previews of works and receive directions to where those works or demonstrations are going to be shown. Somewhat of an opportunity to scout out who, what, when, and where everything is going to be shown and plan your own self-guided tour according to whatever piques your interest. There will be anything and everything from pottery, painting, photography, jewelry, and much more.
This year's tour includes stops at the Art Alliance Gallery in State College, Lemont Granary, Potters Guild, Bellefonte Art Museum, as well as the Rhoneymeade Sculpture Garden & Arboretum in Centre Hall to name a few.
I'll be hanging out at the Art Museum downtown Bellefonte along with a handful of others, including some artwork from various Centre County high school seniors. If you're out and about, check the tour out and if you're in Bellefonte, swing by the museum and say "Hi!".
